Dan Byles, the Member of Parliament for North Warwickshire & Bedworth, this week visited Middleton Village to view a display by local villagers designed to highlight the historical development of the village, and the potential impact on village life of the proposed High Speed Rail route.

Dan Byles, the new MP for North Warwickshire and Bedworth has been interviewed by the influential blogger Tim Montgomerie for the website Conservative Home. The interview took the form of 20 questions and Dan's answers give a useful insight into Dan's character as well as explaining why Dan owes a debt of gratitude to a certain cat .

'Dan Meets Thatcher'. It sounds like one of those classic headlines but all wasn't quite what it seemed at the Fillongley Show yesterday. Dan Blyes, MP for North Warwickshire was joined by volunteers and local Councillors to take his place in the stocks to raise money for the Air Ambulance.

Local MP Dan Byles held a meeting last week with Theresa Villiers MP, Minister for Transport, to discuss the High Speed Rail link (HS2) issue affecting parts of North Warwickshire. Also present at the meeting were Andrea  Leadsom MP (South Northamptonshire) and Chris Pincher MP (Tamworth).  The meeting was to discuss progress in the Government’s thinking on HS2.

Dan Byles MP has been elected by fellow MPs to serve on the Energy and Climate Change Select Committee. This prestigious committee of 14 MPs oversees the expenditure, administration and policy of the Department of Energy and Climate Change in order to hold the department to account.

Dan Byles, Member of Parliament for North Warwickshire and Bedworth, has given his Maiden Speech in the House of Commons, outlining his agenda while serving as an MP. Dan thanked the electorate in North Warwickshire for entrusting him with honour of representing them in Parliament.

Dan Byles MP, North Warwickshire and Bedworth's newly elected Conservative Member of Parliament has attended the annual Bun Day celebrations in Bedworth. He was joined by the Mayor, Lady Daventry, local Councillors and officials of the Nicholas Chamberlaine Charitable Trust.

Dan Byles, the new Member of Parliament for North Warwickshire and Bedworth has met with local policeman PC Andrew Hopkins to show his support to the innovative new Cops 'n Kids initiative, which aims to build bridges with local police and local children.

I would just like to thank everybody in North Warwickshire and Bedworth who voted for me on Thursday; and to thank everybody who has helped to deliver leaflets, knock on doors, display posters, and to help in any way at all. I am still in a mild state of shock, and coming to terms with the fact that I have been elected as your Member of Parliament. It is an honour and a privilege, and I can only say thank you, and that I will do my best to be an effective champion for the constituency. The hard work starts now, and I hope I won't let you down.
