Dan is always working for the constituents of North Warwickshire and Bedworth. An active local campaigner, Dan often takes a camera with him to record his activities and report on the ways in which life in the constituency could be improved. 'In Pictures' is a record of these events, broken down by year into what Dan has been up to.
2007
2007 saw Dan get married (with two separate ceremonies in different countries) and venture to the Magnetic North Pole with his mum, Jan Meek. As if that wasn't enough for one year, he also fought for the workers at Daw Mill Colliery, for local Post Offices, against bed closures at the George Eliot Hospital and for the local fire services.
2008
2008 was even busier. With the fire services, healthcare and Post Offices campaigns in full swing, Dan also lent a hand to the Rachel Ward campaign, prevented the closure of Atherstone Citizens' Advice Bureau, worked on a report concerning the Broken Military Covenant, stepped-in to sponsor Bedworth United Football Club Youth Team and helped Gurkhas win the right to stay in Britain.
2009
In 2009, Dan has been leading the fight against the closure of Bedworth Fire Station, as well as supporting the local Post Offices in North Warwickshire and Bedworth, which could go as a result of Government cut-backs. He has raised the issue of unemployment in the area and welcomed a number of shadow ministers to the constituency to help fight for the issues that are important to people here.
